Amrita Kataria, LPCC and LMHC, founder of Her Cultural Path therapy practice for South Asian women.

Welcome to Her Cultural Path

Culturally attuned therapy for South Asian Individuals and Couples

At Her Cultural Path, South Asian women and couples and high-achieving women navigate family pressure, identity, boundaries, anxiety, and relationships so they can build confident, fulfilling lives aligned with their values.

Many of us grow up learning to prioritize others’ needs, carry family expectations, and silence our own voices — until it begins to feel heavy. Therapy is where that weight can start to lift.

Virtual therapy for residents of California & Florida.

Some Questions You May Have

  • Her Cultural Path is built around the experience of South Asian women and couples - that's the lens Amrita brings to every session. If you identify as South Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nepali, or a child of the diaspora), you'll likely feel especially understood here. That said, Amrita welcomes anyone who feels her approach resonates with their story. The only hard requirements are that you live in California or Florida.

  • Yes. All sessions are fully virtual, so you can work with Amrita from anywhere in California or Florida.

  • Amrita uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - evidence-based approaches suited to anxiety, cultural identity, low self-esteem, and relationship stress.

  • California (where Amrita holds an LPCC license) and Florida (where she holds an LMHC license). Sessions are online only.
